So this is the easiest topic in jee preparation, what I mean to say is you can easily understand it, you can high score in this and you can cover it in less time.

In jee advanced and jee mains on an average 4-5 questions are asked every year.

So in you can't afford to leave it as everyone try to cover this. So you are reading this blog so you have an edge over others. As this is taught in last so try to get it by yourself.

Note: Practice jee mains PYQs , as questions are similar so don't leave them.

Same for jee advanced cover each and every question with clearing concepts.

Now coming to classification of this unit.

1) Photo electric effect:

Read theory once from Ncert because some Theoritical questions are asked from it.

Than practice plank eq, Einstein EQ, and different graphs of photo electric effect observations.

Momentum due to photo light (important for jee advanced)

2) Dual nature of light:

So this one is also important as it cover Bohr model and other.

So first read Bohr model and its postulate.

Spectrum and different spectral series are important.

Atomic collision and recoil Speed are important topics for jee advanced.

Than debroglie eqn and also read theory from Ncert from point of view of Jee mains as well as advanced.

3) Nuclear chemistry :

Here again i would suggest that read theory from Ncert. After that learn about nucleus and its properties.

Than nuclear chemistry, Radioactivity really important topic.

Than comes your binding energy and Q value both are really important terms. Than for Board point of view Nuclear fission and fusion.

4) Semiconductor: Very important from point of view of jee mains. So i would recommend that read Ncert it is sufficient for this chapter and practice Previous year questions. But read the theory and try to memorize formulas of transistor.

Also remember logic gates (easiest topic).

5) Communication: Read this through Ncert as sometimes questions are asked from this chapter also. Try to remember information given there. And different wave related information.

So this was all for modern optics. But don't leave this chapter as no one try to leave this. And it's easy to learn also as most of the things are fact based which you have to remember .
