How to attempt JEE Advanced paper
Tips to attempt JEE Mains & JEE Advanced Mock test:
So the first thing that to be remembered is do not demotivate with marks you are getting because no one is genius.... practice can make anyone good and excellent.
Most important thing is do not waste your time on single question in mock test.
As we do not realize that for a problem we have given 10 min in which we can solve 2-3 problems.
In every test check out yourself and force your mind to focus on that not to waste time over single question.
All questions have same weightage so do that latter and solve some more questions in that time. If you implement this Marks will start increasing if you are really studying.
- Whenever you are giving test take is as your actual jee exam and don't get up from chair in those 3 hours. Take water bottle with you to keep hydrated.
- Don't be like just wake up and giving test. Give yourself a week to prepare for that test. It might be that you have prepared only 50% syllabus and remaining not that good. But prepare at-least 50% so that your marks reflect in that. It should not be like u are giving excuses to yourself that I haven't read actually that's why I didn't get marks. It's too foolish why you didn't study.
- I'm giving different strategies as these differ from one mind to another. So try all and see which one is suitable for you.
Jee mains:
i) Finish chemistry as it's easy one . So try to finish it within 30 min with maximum extent.
Then choose your second favourite subject and try to finish that in 1 hour like physics for me.
Then maths as it need more time so give 1:15 hr to it and remaining 15 to check that can i do some easy one remaining out from any subject.
ii) Start with your favourite and finish those which you know surely. Don't waste time or just give try.
Than 2nd fav and than 3rd finish all easy ones. Then come to moderate and those which you were thinking in first round that I can do them and finish them. Then if time remains than do challenging ones.
Give 1 hour to easy ones or some more....
1- 1.5 hr to moderate and remaining for difficult.
iii) It's similar to first one but in this just try to have your weak subject in middle and do only those which you can do.
Try these and modify according to your will.
4. After test analysis is most important. Everyone miss this one. We just get low marks and think what to analyze now and feel sad for whole day.
But analysis is more important than giving test.
Have one note book in which you can write your mistakes like may be you want to write something else but ticked else. All your silly errors and review them before exam.
Also solve those questions by seeing solution. And revise which you think as important ones.
Now if you want to practice chapter wise test than you can have this app as it's awesome.
Take it's subscription it's very cheap 30-40 Rs but here you can give jee mains previous year question as mock test.
Also practice each chapter pyqs from there.
Believe me pyqs are very helpful in both mains and advance. And in mains very very much.
So if you can download than use it really helpful. Not promoting actually.
5. Try to avoid silly mistakes in mocks. And also maintain accuracy at-least 80% as it will keep your score on safer side.
After test write things in which you are lacking behind focus on them.
In order to score good practice decent questions and try to use time boundation, it will really helpful to get much high score....
To get around 50% not that much speed need but to score more than 60% speed matters.
And always think if you are scoring low that.. in upcoming test I have to make these many questions only like to get 50% you have to do 50% questions only rest are options for you.
Like choose 1 from 2 type.
Increase slowly and if your score increase than work hard to maintain that.
Because to maintain that it's really hard.
